Why Do Electra-Zoom Choose To Stock Xiaomi Electric Scooters?

Electric scooters have come a long way in a short amount of time and there is a large array of makes to choose from. So why do we primarily stock Xiaomi as our flagship brand? In our latest blog we take a brief look into why we choose to stock Xiaomi to build and develop our business.

Xiaomi is a brand that has been around since 2010 and has grown from strength to strength ever since. It was a collaboration between the tech giant Qualcomm and an investment firm called Temasek Holdings, which is owned by the Singaporean government.

Xiaomi’s first products were in the smart phone arena, making the android smartphone Xiaomi Mi1 in 2011. Since then they have produced phablets, headphones and streaming boxes, much like the Roku and Apple TV devices.

Xiaomi, which is pronounced “shee-ow-mee,” clearly recognised, quite early on, that electric scooters would be one of the next hot products that would create a worldwide revolution. So in 2016 they developed the Xiaomi M365 Electric Scooter, which then went on to be seen as an industry standard.

Using lithium ion battery packs and aircraft grade aluminium frames the M365 electric scooter is clearly a high quality piece of kit that was made affordable to the mass markets that we know today.

In 2019 Xiaomi released the larger, stronger and feature rich M365 Pro. Xiaomi clearly recognised that people loved the M365 but wanted to ride for longer and climb steeper inclines.

Quality is something that comes as standard with all Xiaomi electric scooters. From the grades of metals that are used in the main hardware such as the frame and the brake discs, to the electronic components and batteries, you will not find a better quality of build and level of reliability for the budget as you will with the M365 electric scooter range.

So in short, that is why Electra-Zoom choose to stock Xiaomi as our primary range of electric scooters.
