In the latest instalment of our blog we are looking at one of our latest products and that is the INMOTION L9 Electric Scooter. It really is one of the best value and most versatile electric scooters we have had the pleasure of stocking.

INMOTION have vastly increased the range of this scooter compared to other scooters in the category. Where most Xiaomi’s like the M365 can do 18 miles and the Pro 2 reaching 27 miles in a single charge, the L9 can reach 30 miles when in Sports mode and a staggering 59 miles in eco mode (dependant on rider’s weight and number of inclines). This means that users of the L9 can undertake far longer rides or commutes without constantly worrying about running out of battery power in the middle of nowhere.
INMOTION L9 E-scooters have Larger Tyres and Dual Suspension
The INMOTION L9 has been furnished with larger 10 inch tubeless, air-filled tyres over the 8.5 inch sized ones you will find on a Xiaomi. Larger tyres mean a smoother ride and the ability to roll over small obstacles far easier than its smaller wheeled competitors.
It also features front and rear suspension to provide and even smoother ride experience. This is key when you are planning to ride for 20 or 30 miles in a single outing. It’s genuinely one of the smoothest commuter scooters we have ever ridden.
The INMOTION L9 Features Automatic Indicators
In most cases for standard electric scooters they don’t feature indicators but with the L9 you will find it has built in indicators that activate when you lean left or right to show other road users that you are about to turn. They come in the form of glowing blue deck lights that blink red when making a turn.
L9 Electric Scooters feature IP55 Rated Water Resistance
Water resistance is a key issue with many current electric scooters in the fact that they have very little resistance to moisture impregnating the battery compartments and the electric motor housing. INMOTION has designed this scooter to be IP55 rated.
IP stands for Ingress Protection, and an IP55 rated product is protected against dust ingress that could be harmful for the normal operation of the product but is not fully dust tight. It is protected against solid objects and water jets projected by a nozzle (6.3mm) from any directions.
Overall this is a huge step up in terms of water resistance with a product being sold in the UK where it frequently rains. Of course, you still need to try and avoid standing water and puddles where you can but if you get caught out in a sudden down pour, your scooter will suffer far less serious damage than many of the L9’s competitors.
L9 Electric Scooters Feature a Larger Frame
Nearly all the dimensions of this innovative electric scooter have been increased, which in turn improves its stability and handling. The stem is taller making it ideal for taller riders. The deck is comfortably wide, grippy and easy to clean after use. This scooter stands 22 inches tall, 21 inches wide at the handlebars and 51 inches long making it one of the largest scooters in its range.

All in all we absolutely love this electric scooter. We truly believe it one of the best scooters available with a sub £1,000 budget. It has answered many of the issues experienced by owners of the Xiaomi or Segway models in a similar category.
